Reception desk was friendly and prompt .There was very little waiting and hence anxiety level was minimised . Briefing about the experience I was about to have was comforting and estimated time given to my relative for pick up . Nurses had difficulty finding appropriate vein to insert a tube but they showed tremendous patience in spite of 4 tries.I was feeling a little guilty as this was attributed to de hydration. I was given a lot to drink.
Being led to the theatre I felt a little cold . Staff were generous with answers to any questions as I was prepared for the Surgeon to perform Angiogram. I was naturally anxious in case something went wrong but seeing professional and friendly operatives filled me with confidence . The procedure was quite painless but could feel the tube moving up the arm .
At the end the Doctor did tell me the state of the three coronary arteries and informed me of the procedures to follow . It is comforting that the Doctor in whose hands your life is seems relaxed .
When back in the ward I was made comfortable with refreshments . Eventually I was discharged with due care and all the guiding information for next few days
I am very relieved and thankful to the staff and doctors. Whatever the bad news, I am glad that I am now aware of it and that I am in good hands for the next stage .
My sincere thanks to all staff and Doctors for the Pre- Operative Assessment and the Angiogram operation . I feel well prepared for any treatment that may follow.
