"My Partner's Annual Checkup"

About: Kent & Canterbury Hospital / X-ray and Scans Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother Hospital / General medicine

(as other),

My partner attended his annual checkup last Summer (2017) with Practice Nurse JENNY. During their conversation he mentioned that he was having difficulties swallowing foods and that this had been happening increasingly over the past 6-9 months. Whilst taking bloods, blood pressure, weight etc she listened carefully, asked a few relevant questions and disappeared to consult Dr Bannon (GP). A speedy referral for a gastroscopy was arranged thanks to Jenny's care and attention.

CT, MRI scans and referral to an excellent oncologist within a fortnight have resulted in a course of chemo-radio therapy for the oesophageal cancer diagnosed. We owe JENNY A GREAT BIG THANK YOU for doing your job so careingly and professionally.

Thank you for leaving some feedback, we think this might be more for your GP surgery.

We are pleased to hear Jenny was able to get your husband access to our services in order to get a diagnosis and treatment for him.

Kind regards.

Thank you QEQM. Yes this was really for Practice Nurse Jenny at The Grange Practice in Ramsgate but I never seem to be able to access their link!! Whilst here though I would like to add that Colin was also treated extremely professionally and with great kindness, consideration and respect at the beautiful Viking Day Centre at QEQM when having his Chemotherapy. THANK YOU.
