"Cataract operation - excellent"

About: Ipswich Hospital / Ophthalmology

Absolutely first class service.

My appointment was at 8.15am, seen to immediately by nursing staff then met the Consultant by 8.20, who explained the procedure.

I was ready to go home at 9.45!!!

Staff were extremely attentive and understood my concerns.

Everywhere was spotless and the staff were continually using the hand cleaning gel and cleaning of equipment, amazing.

The operating room was cool and the nurse asked if I was comfortable and I mentioned I was feeling chilly, immediately she covered me with a blanket.

I suffered no pain or discomfort during the op or following and the next morning the clarity and focus of everything I looked at was so amazing,

I could not believe the difference.

I felt confident to drive which was extraordinary.

What a wonderful NHS we have in the UK
