"getting an appointment"

About: Cottingham Medical Centre

cannot get through on the telephone at 8.30am continuously engaged until finally someone answers and says you are in queue at say 8.50 and then receptionist tells you there are no appointments for that day.

The receptionist then says come in the morning and wait which is outside in the freezing cold.

I am 82 years old and cannot stand outside and people should not be expected to when they are ill.

I needed a fairly urgent appointment, instead was told there was an appointment in two weeks time - not good enough.

I would also point out that should appointments become available it is rare to see the Doctor seen previously therefore no continuity of ongoing problems.
