Excellent service from someone who would probably say it was all in a day's work.
I hope the lady who helped me gets this message of thanks because I've no idea who she is. I may never meet her and I'd like her to know how she made a real difference.
I phoned from Staffordshire, trying to sort out hospital appointments for my frail, elderly and sometimes confused mother who lives in Morecambe and needed a scan followed by a meeting with her consultant, based in Oncology at the RLI. Unfortunately the original appointment had been set for her to see the consultant before the scan. It was the beginning of February 2018, the weather was cold and snowy, my mum faced the possibility of a wasted journey that would have been precarious and have left her exhausted.
The lady listened with compassion despite alarms going off on the ward; called departments, liaised with a consultants secretary and got back to my mum promptly.
She carefully explained to my mother over the phone that the appointments had been rearranged thus preventing a journey.
On behalf of my mum "C.B" and I , thank you so much for your care and time.
"I telephoned for help and got great service"
