I had an Emergency c-section following labour in 2008, the care was great and I was so pleased to be able to use the PAH for my second pregnancy. Attended the Princess Anne Hospital maternity day unit due to reduced movements - i had an emergency c section within 3hours of arriving. My baby was taken straight to Neonatal unit intensive care due to scoring a 0 at delivery and to finding neurological and lung concerns.
My baby had a 27 day stay in the most incredible neonatal unit, the staff are amazing the care and support given to us a family was out of this world and couldn't of asked for more. We were informed every step of the way in a clear and open manner and she was looked after so well. The home support given following her stay was great and still have contact with the consultants and staff when attending the neonatal group at the hospital which is so nice following such a traumatic time.
The staff in the day unit, labour ward, Neonatal unit and Lyndhurst ward offered the best care and support to myself and my baby during a scary and traumatic time.
We cannot thank or praise the Princess Anne hospital enough for all they have done. I would not want to have a baby anywhere else.
