"lovely nurses the cheif excutive should..."

About: Friarage Hospital Site

What I liked

the nurses and my consultant were amazing i was put on womens health after i was having problems walking and moving at 23 years old.

the food was good everyone was friendly.

What could be improved

i was told that i needed a mri scan by my consultant and would be transfered to james cook the following day for this.

on the morning of the following day the chief excutive of the friarge came and told me i could go home without a doctor or consultant with them and only reading my notes.

the nurses were not happy about this and said they always jump the gun and sends patients home too early. my own gp had to make the mri appiontment for me because the frirage doctor did not as the chief excutive told that they would.

it is scary to think that they can go around releasing patience with no medical knowledge.

i was later told by a person in the bed beside me that another woman was in the bed i was in 15 minutes after i had left!!!

Thank you for taking the time to post comments regarding your recent stay within South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Whilst I am pleased to read many of your positive comments, which will be forwarded on to the respective staff/departments, I am disappointed that some aspects of your care were less than satisfactory. I am currently investigating your discharge from the hospital with the information I have available. The manner in which you describe your discharge arrangements does not meet our operational policies.

Thank you for bringing this matter to my attention and should you wish to provide any further details in the interim period, please e-mail the Patient Advice and Liaison Service Officers at PALS@stees.nhs uk, alternatively please contact a PALS Officer personally on 0800 0282451.

Kind Regards

Mrs Rachel Jamieson-Gaffney

Head of Patient Relations
