I attended the physiotherapy unit over the summer of 2017 after being referred by my GP for ongoing problems with my back and shoulders. I cannot say enough positive things about my experience - the physiotherapist was friendly, took time to listen and formulated a treatment plan. As I work full time they did their best to accommodate my appointments to suit me, which wasn't always possible but I appreciated the effort.
I had a few different treatments over the weeks including ultrasound and acupuncture, and was then able to progress to the physio pilates sessions which are held at the hospital. This alone is a great asset to the QVMH as other patients had come from Thanet for the classes. I got about 8 sessions and was given hand-outs to continue the exercises at home - there was some discussion about starting up a paid-for class which my physio was keen to start, but sadly I've not heard any more about this, which is a shame.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this excellent service at the hospital to others.
