"Utterly appalling"

About: Kidderminster Hospital

My 11 year old daughter injured her little finger in sports at school. We were told to attend Kidderminster minor injuries. We waited 3-4 ish hours for an x-ray and was told no damage was done and sent on our way.

The finger was very swollen and crooked. No splint was given or advice. Just told to keep it moving.

3 months on...it has healed bent and looks deformed. Having visited my GP today, we've been advised she needs to be referred to the hand surgeon and potentially have to have it broken again and wires put in.

I'm absolutely disgusted at the lack of care and sound medical advice provided. My daughter is now potentially going to suffer surgery just because her injury was not dealt with properly at the time.

I would not recommend anyone to visit this hospital.
