"Memories of excellent care"

About: Royal Shrewsbury Hospital / Clinical haematology

It is two and a half years since my husband, Dr Robert Yarwood, lost his battle against myeloma. Barely a day goes by without my thinking of the excellent care he received in the O'Connor Haematology Unit. The treatment was administered with great efficiency and we were impressed with the way the team worked together. Dr O'Connor is obviously an inspiration to the team. He gave us the facts and did not pussy-foot around outcomes of treatment. I have praised him and his team to others and I have received glowing comments from people I know who have been treated at the clinic. The Haematology Clinic should be held up as a model for others to emulate.

Good afternoon,

Thank you for taking the time to share your memories of the O'Connor Unit and the treatment your husband received, this must have been an incredibly difficult time for you and I am so sorry for your loss.

I have shared your comments with Dr O'Connor himself and our Corporate Nursing Team and they will share this with their team in the O'Connor Unit.

Receiving feedback is very important to us and means a lot to the staff, so thank you for sharing this with us.

With very best wishes to you

Patient Experience Team
