Came to the circle qmc Nottingham for a day surgery, the sergeon was very blunt and extremely hard to understand and I got the feeling he wasn’t understanding me either. 2 days after my surgery all the stitches came undone and my wound completely split open. I phoned the treatment centre immediately and was put through to the ward where I had the surgery. They told me there is nothing they can do they refused to see me and told me if it’s bad I should go to a&e! Instead I phoned my gp and she told me to come to the surgery immediately where they re-stitched my wound and commented that it looked like a infection was beginning. The gp also tried to contact the treatment centre as she said it’s important the sergeon who did it saw me but she was disgusted when she received the same response as me and said “ they are like talking to a brick wall” (this is a gp with over 30 years experience in the nhs).. the gp stitched me back up and gave me antibiotics for the infection unfortunalty the infection was already established and I’ve only just finished my antibiotics over 6 weeks after my op. I’ve been left with a huge very visible scar that I can’t stand to look at and I can’t help but blame the treatment centre and it’s extremely poor service for this. I’ve been recommended to seek legal advice regarding medical negligence as the service I’ve received is way below the minimum standard or duty of care you should expect to recieve and I’ve been left with horrible life changing scars due to the negligence of the circle treatment centre
"Unbelievably poor standard of care!"
