My grandmother is currently in your care on ward 14, Hairmyres. We were called for on Saturday afternoon as she is very poorly and I have been at the hospital ever since.
The care she has received has been great and the staff have been very accommodating to us, a large family and we want to thank them for that.
However, since I have been here the small male toilet close to ward 14 has been rather disgraceful. It absolutely stinks of urine. I don’t believe it has been cleaned since I arrived. There is (and has been since the early hours of Sunday morning) a urine stain on the floor. More concerning my there has been no soap in this facility since Saturday.
I visited the main reception twice yesterday to point this out and also told a lady who was cleaning the corridor through the night last night. There is still no soap.
I would have thought given the drive on infection control this would have been more of a priority and feel it should be brought to your attention.
