Having so often heard negative remarks concerning the NHS I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to Preston Royal.
From my first appointment with the consultant were I was talked through in depth all the details of my operation. Then given ample time to ask questions and discuss all my concerns,
Although I had opted for surgery I was still given the opportunity to meet the radiologist.
The consultant then suggested, as I had travelled some distance to Preston it may be possible for me to have my pre op that day to save me an extra journey.
On admission once again the surgeon and anaesthetist made me feel very much at ease and fully explained all details of my operation to myself and also included my wife in all the discussions and what to expect post op. This helped me feel very relaxed in what was a stressful time.
All the staff at ward10 were kind helpful and very considerate to me and all the other patients in my ward at all times,
To sum up my total experience at Preston Royal made a difficult time one of excellent care and attention.
I have just returned for a post op procedure which again was relaxed and well organised.
Many thanks to all st Preston Royal.
