"Worst maternity services ."

About: University Hospital (Coventry) / Maternity

Rude staff on the wards . Midwifes making decisions over pain relief when asked for epidural was told the anesthatist had been bleeped when he clarified he hadn't . Delivery midwifes were fantastic really caring and compassionate obviously the night shift workers are less stressed . I was left to fester in the room I delivered in with blood still on floor and sheets and instruments used still covered in blood for up to eight hours after delivery still on the trolley . Pads covered in blood off my bed were dumped in the middle of the bathroom floor . Apparently there was no room on the postnatal ward . Absolutely vile . Never again and would not recommend this hospital for having a child .

Hi, We are really sorry to read this, so that we can look into this for you can you email the Modern Matron for the Labour Ward please on helen.coleman@uhcw.nhs.uk

She just needs to know when this happened and your details so we can investigate further.

Best wishes

Emma
