I write this with a heavy heart as I love the NHS and think all who work in it are incredible.
But recently I had to make a visit to Epsom A&E department. I woke up from a nap with a piercing headache and my face and arms had gone numb.
Naturally, I panicked. I came in and firstly, the triage nurse was indifferent. But sent me to see a doctor.
When I finally did see the doctor, his attitude was poor. He was so unhelpful and made no attempt to tell me what had happened. He even said to me 'I don't understand why you're here'
I do not make a habit of using medical services but in a moment where I was panicked and frightened the medical staff did nothing to allay my fears. I'm still having issues with headaches and none the wiser as to why.
I understand working in A&E is stressful, but just because someone LOOKS well doesn't necessarily mean they are.
"Bit disappointed"
