"Absolutely fantastic!"

About: Queen Alexandra Hospital / Accident and emergency

My partner had an allergic reaction to some Ibuprofen pills last year and had an extremely bad reaction. Mouth started swelling/violent itching etc and I rushed him to QA as we live 2 mins away.

He was taken straight through and sorted out immediately. I can not thank the people that work in A&E enough. Whilst we were there and he was recovering on a ward we witnessed what one of the doctors comes up against with one of the 'customers' and it is totally disgusting. These doctors should not have to deal with people coming off drugs and demanding medical supplies, being abused and threatened. The service which we received was wonderful and I would like to thank the people that are providing this service under such difficult conditions.

Many thanks for sharing your story and giving such warm and positive feedback. We are always grateful for patients and loved ones who take the time to share their experiences with us. I will be forwarding your lovely comments to the Emergency Department where I know they will be delighted to receive them. I hope your husband made a speedy recovery from his allergic reaction.

Many thanks

Kind regards

Kathy
