"No real care due to distressing waiting times"

About: Whiston Hospital / Gynaecology

My GP sent for my referral in September 2017. I am still waiting for laparoscopy, diagnosis and treatment. Upto now, February 2018 nobody can give me a date. I was admitted December 2017 in terrible pain and sent home after a week without any future date for operation. Still no laparoscopy despite being told I am still on priority waiting list and also being told that damage to my fertility is a likely possibility whilst these symptoms are ongoing. I am in pain everyday and very highly distressed that I am also left with the worry of fertility being damaged permanently and nothing being done for me.

We take all issues surrounding patient experience very seriously and we are extremely sorry that on this occasion your experience was not at the standard we would expect. Please contact our PALS team on 0151 430 1376 so that we can discuss this further with you.
