"Colonoscopy Procedure"

I had a colonoscopy procedure. I was talked through the what would happen and complications and if I agreed to certain things taking place should things not go to plan.

When I got to the procedure room I was comforted by the nurses who describe the gas and air to me to alleviate any pain I may have during the procedure as I decided not to have a sedative. Although this is a embarrassing procedure my dignity and reassurance from all the staff was made throughout the procedure.

As I was watching the procedure on the monitor the Doctor explained what he was doing and what he was finding at all times.

After the procedure was complete I was taken to the recovery room for observation and blood pressure checks before given something to eat and drink by the attentive staff.

The discharge procedure was relative quick and the staff fully explained the doctors comments and findings including photos taken.

Al5hough not a nice procedure to go through all the staff made sure that I felt comfortable and not embarrassed.

Professional and thoughtful service provided by all the staff.
