I collapsed during the early hours of Friday and was admitted about 1.30 a.m.
I had blood poisoning and internal bleeding in my stomach.
I developed pneumonia, breathing difficulties, multiple organ failure, and was in a coma for five weeks. had it not been for the expertise and professionalism of the staff in ICU (Intensive Car Unit) I would have died. I would also say that my stay in Ward 44 to recover, including regaining the ability to walk is also a tribute to all staff members concerned.
It is disappointing to read some of the other negative reviews on this site and also the almost daily criticism levelled at the NHS.
"stay from 1/12/2017 to 16/1/18"
