"Overall excellent service"

About: Community Care services / Dementia Support Service

(as a carer),

The dementia support worker was very approachable, kind and caring, She was very aware of mum's needs and adapted activities according to how mum was feeling- for example outings to garden centre/ cafe or staying at home doing adult colouring or reminiscence etc.

This gave me as sole carer a very welcome break to have time for myself and also good to see mum conversing and enjoying time with someone else. Overall excellent service. Thank you.

Would have been great to know about this service sooner when mum was more able to go out but nevertheless still very beneficial.

Dear SeptemberSH85,

Thanks so much for getting in touch to let us know about your mums experience of using our Dementia Support Service.

I am delighted your mum was supported according to her needs and wishes and that you were able to get a wee break too.

I'm sorry you hadn't heard of the service sooner. We will check to see we are doing all we can, to ensure people know this great service is available

Thanks once again

Annie
