I attended RBH A&E with my daughter with a injured foot. I was greeted with a smile by the booking clerk and asked to wait in the clean waiting room. We were expecting a long wait but after only just settling down we were called through to minors. My daughter was treated with respect by the senior nurse who explained in detail what she was going to do, how she could help with the pain and the plan of action to help her. As we moved around the department to xray every member of staff returned or gave us a smile as we moved pass. Dispite being busy they still had the energy and care to do this. A really testament to the compassionate people working for the NHS. From observing other patients they were all treated with the same level care, respect and privacy we were. After no wait for an xray. We returned to minors and discussed my daughters treatment with the same nurse and a doctor. They listened to my 11 years old questions and answered with respect and at an age appropriate level. The treatment we received was first rate. I was concerned about attending A&E during this time of "extreme demand and crisis" but with a broken foot we had no choice. what we witnessed was hard working, dedicated, friendly but tired staff determined to provide the best care for every patient and their family. Thank you for the care you provided today and I'm sure will do tomorrow and into the future.
"RBH A&E should be proude of the service they..."
