"First scan was a terrible experience"

The hospital is new and very clean.

What could be improved

My wife and I went for our first scan this morning. What was supposed to be a very special moment turned out to be anything but that. We arrived at the scan ontime and was told that the person doing our scan had not arrived and that another lady was going to to do it. She called us in was dismissive of any questions we had. Told us our babies age was wrong would not provide any info (now we are thinking we have a premature baby) listened to the heartbeat for 1 second saved it, took a picture (out of focus wrong position) and told us to get out. It all happened literally as fast as this. Anyway very frustrated when we left. After asking around we found out that it is normal for the calculated and scan age to be different. Anyway this lady made our first scan a really terrible experience and now my wife is down in the dumps. Anyway I have booked another scan for next week in a private hospital while we are on holiday. Hopefully this way we will get a decent experience.

Anything else?

Our other experiences have been very good especially our midwife so I assume that this is out of the ordinary.
