"My treatment"

About: BPAS Bournemouth CC/Clinic

Unfortunately due to circumstances out of my control I had to have a termination . I was expecting tge staff to be warm & sympathetic the nurse that checked me in was none of those . I waited in a room with my parents feeling nervous then one nurse came in a abruptly pulled the curtain around my father saying you can't be seen so I'm pulling the curtain we all felt offended how rude she was we were there having the hardest thing in our life's to be done because my baby was terminal & she had no compassion! We did have one nice nurse who took me up then when the anesthetiser started pulling my arm I begged him to use my other one & he said I'm the expert !! When coming out of the operation I was sat in the most uncomfortable chair why no beds ??? My arm was in agony & asked twice why & was told it's normal!all they wanted was to get me out I then asked again why is it hurting it's normal ! Went home in agony ended up with an infection & when we phoned & asked The Sister it was on my notes that they had gone into my tissues & that's why !! I am devastated & am in agony

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

I am very sorry for the incident you have described.

It is usual practice for the clinic manager to speak with clients in such circumstances, to discuss the investigation which would need to take place.

If you are not in touch with the manager already please do call the clinic, or you are welcome to get in touch with me.

Kind regards, Pam Field, BPAS Client Engagement Manager, Tel: 0345 365 5050 email: clientservices@bpas.org.
