My father was cared for here after he suffered from 2 severe strokes, as a terminal cancer sufferer we could not continue his treatment after the strokes due the implications it would have to his body and health. He was admitted to Danetre Hospital, to the palliative care unit around a month before the end of his life.
I cannot explain the admiration and gratitude I have for the nurses, and staff members on the ward. As a man in his 50's my father wanted to keep his dignity and as much independence as he could towards the end of his life. The nurses were absolutely amazing with every element of his care, right down to the day he sadly passed away. The experience they have in these types of situations as clearly evident in the way they handle themselves and comfort others during these difficult times.
In shorter words, the nurses at staff at this hospital deserve medals!!!!
"Palliative care unit is exceptional!"
