"Excellent experience"

I found the department easily thanks to the instructions in the information I was sent. The receptionist was lovely, I couldn’t work out how to use the door so she got up and let me in and was very friendly and polite. She rang through to say I had arrived straight away and got me a heated wheat bag to warm my hands prior to the test. She was very understanding that I hadn’t managed to warm my hands on the journey which is nice as I have been told off by receptionists before!

My appointment was on time so I didn’t have to wait long to go in to have the test done. The lady who performed the test was very kind and gentle, she explained what she was doing and warned me when it might hurt. She was very knowledgeable. Afterwards she explained what the problem was and what would need to happen next, and was very reassuring. I left the department feeling confident about the results of the test and the next steps I would need to take with my GP.

I was hugely impressed by the service I received, it was like being seen at a private hospital! I wish all NHS hospitals were this good.
