"Bad customer serive at antenatal ward at PRUH"

I Went to PRUH to the antenatal ward yesterday and was highly disappointed with the lack of care and consideration towards me. I was rushing from work to get to my appointment which was at 2:10pm, I arrived at the hospital at 2:00pm but was looking for parking for ten minutes. Once I found parking I went into the antenatal ward and two extremely unprofessional receptionist were there. I told them I had an appointment and there reaction was just saying... Name, Your notes, and urine sample. They was no friendly interaction at all . I took a seat and was waiting for an hour and ten minutes until I was finally seen at 3:25 when my appointment was at 2:10pm. I had asked the receptionist and complained to say why four people were since before me when I got there first. Her reaction once again was not helping and was just its in the doctors order when it wasn't because I was there before the other people were! The receptionist was there back and forth going into the office getting drinks and cake rather than offering friendly service to the patients waiting and talking to the other receptionist. Another lady said to the same receptionist there was no more hand wash in the toilet and the receptionist again just sat there and did not re fill the liquid soap although the area was packed with pregnant women who had to do a urine sample. Overall bad experience and I will be complaining face to face if this happens again.

Once again I just phoned the antenatal ward at PRUH and received bad customer services, I was told by the doctor that the appointment I was issued was incorrect and the receptionist replied saying "He does not know what he is talking about" I said to the receptionist who am I meant to believe all I need is the appointment to be correct, she just went silent on the phone.

I had also been phoning the antenatal clinic ward all day and no one has picked up the phone until 16:00pm, and the line had been busy at times so there was someone there!

I am extremely annoyed at the customer service on this ward and this is two days in a row I have received this. If I go to my appointment and it is incorrect I will be making another complaint, as this is ridiculous!

I am very sorry to read your comments, both in terms of the delays that you faced and also the attitude of the reception staff. I have copied your comments to our Head of Midwifery at the PRUH so that she can follow this up. I can only apologies on behalf of King's that we fell short on this occasion.
