Having been transferred from Princess Royal last Friday (after an overnight stay with excellent care from their A and E team and Balcombe Ward), I was squeezed in as the last patient (before closing until Monday) Friday 4pm and had a stent fitted very quickly during the angiogram, and returned to Lewes Ward. I was given a hot meal (despite not having had a chance to order dinner), and was discharged at 10pm.
My treatment at both hospitals was excellent - not just the processing, but the care and kindliness displayed by at least the dozen doctors, nurses, specialists, two ambulance crews, and porters that dealt with me.
Special gratitude must go to the Cardiac Catheter team (especially the bed manager) for getting me sorted in time to avoid staying over for the entire weekend.
My sincere thanks to all
"Excellent care - and rapid remedy"
