"Fantastic phlebotomist"

About: General practices in Ayrshire & Arran

(as the patient),

Stewarton Medical Practice

I'd like to share how fantastic the phlebotomist is at my GP practice.

I didn't clock her name as her name badge just said her job. That aside she was lovely! I went in to get some bloods done to help manage a minor but very annoying condition I've had for a few years. It's been a difficult time and without getting into it she just asked how I was and shared that she'd had a similar experience to me.

Her manner was relaxed, reassuring and her comments were some of the most helpful I've had. She's a real asset to the practice. I just wanted her to know what an unexpectedly positive experience it was considering I'd only gone in for a blood test.

Thank you!

I respond initially to most of the posts and ensure they are passed to the appropriate team whether they are compliments, observations or grumbles. It is important to make sure all issues are addressed and I try to encourage that to happen for all the posts as required.

Dear Clagx97,

Well what a lovely post and it sounds like a lovely girl too.

I will certainly pass this on so she can know "what an unexpectedly positive experience" you had. I am sure she will be very proud of your comments and so she should.

Thank you for taking time to share this with us, and I hope your results come back 'all clear'.

Best wishes,

Eunice
