I have had awful experiences over many years at George Eliot Hospital Blood Taking (Pathology Department). I have been advised that as of 2018 they have finally put the patient first and offered appointments. However, a brief look at the 2 reviews I could find indicated that even with appointments George Eliot Management were managing to mess that up and upset patients with false waiting times.
It was therefore with considerable relief when my local practice nurse advised of a blood taking service (appointment only) at Newtown Road Community Centre. Apparently the phlebotomist are part of the George Eliot Team.and operate Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
I arrived at the community centre and was dealt with by a member of staff, who was prompt, professional and caring. The treatment room was clean and pleasant. THANK YOU!
What a difference to the hell hole blood taking department at George Eliot Hospital.
This only proves to me it is not the staff at fault, but George Eliot Management who have little or no regard for patients.
