I’m writing to express my thanks and deep appreciation of every single member of staff I came into contact with as I attended Barnstaple hospital A&E department last night suffering from chest pain.

Very friendly, courteous and efficient all the way through. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing and the place was clean and tidy. Brilliant! Thank you so much!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us regarding the care and treatment you recently received in the Emergency Department (ED) at the North Devon District Hospital (NDDH).

Despite winter pressures, the team always strive to provide an excellent service for patients, and it is pleasing to learn you were well looked after, and the department was clean and tidy.

It must have been an anxious time for you, especially as you were in the same nursing profession, and it is good to know you received reassurance from the staff involved with your care.

I have forwarded on your kind comments to the Manager of the Emergency Department where they will be warmly appreciated and shared with staff.
