The outdated H blocks house the wards, that are operated by virtually dictatorial nurses, and health care workers with little inclination to engage with patients.
In the absence of engagement patients feel isolated, unheard, and frustrated by being denied their basic rights, freedoms Inc, dignity and respect.
The crisis team offers little support, beyond signposting to A&E which had become a virtual dumping ground or they summon an ambulance and worse the Police to ',intervene'.
The process is primarily to create drug dependence on low cost prescription psychotropics with awful side effects, as patients eventually become test subjects, refusal leading inexorably to section under the MH Act.
