my son has chicken pox. the Dr that attended to us only told us to continue using calamine lotion. She didn't advise us to buy chicken pox gel or even piriton to help with the itch for the chicken pox. My son was in agony all night and didn't sleep for 2 days. it was later when we went to pharmacy that we were advised to buy piriton.
I Believe one of the reason why you see a doctor is to give you the best advice. my son does not deserve to go through the agony of the itch and pain as well.
