"They were reassuring and put me at ease"

About: Forth Valley Royal Hospital / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I was booked in to have a lesion removed from my arm and attended Forth Valley Day Surgery Unit.

I was seen, right on time and the minor op was to be carried out by Kirsty, assisted by Ella.

They were very reassuring and put me at ease right away. After checking my history etc. ( which was carried out very thoroughly) they explained exactly what the process

would be and checked with me if I had any questions.

The operation itself was entirely pain free and it was helpful to be regularly asked if I was O.K. and also kept informed as to what was happening.

In conversation I had mentioned that another cyst (previously treated some years ago) was recurring.

This was examined and they said that too could be dealt with while I was there, avoiding another visit.

All in all this was a very satisfactory experience and I felt reassured by the professionalism that Kirsty and Ella demonstrated. In addition it was clear that I was valued as a patient and treated in a very kind and caring way.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such lovely feedback, I have shared this with the minor ops team. It is reassuring to hear that you were happy with the overall experience, and that you were made to feel at ease. I hope that both your wounds are healing well.

Thanks again.

Kirsty
