"Emergency operation"

About: The Great Western Hospital / Accident and emergency

After an operation to remove tonsils (at another hospital), 4 days later I had an emergency bleed, which resulted in heavy blood loss at midnight. An ambulance rushed me to Swindon, and within mins of arrival, a team and a surgeon had me in theatre for a difficult throat repair.

The whole process was carried out to perfection and my after care, 3 days, was to a high standard. Tonsil removal for older people does come with risk. GWR certainly knew their stuff,. Thank you all.
