"Fantastic nurses and very clean ward and..."

What I liked

A&E staff extremely well organised and dilligent. Ward nurses very friendly, caring, organised and informative. Ward was very clean.

What could be improved

Doctors were slow to inform me of test results coming back, slow in coming forth with information, told I was being sent for a scan (I had suspected appendicitis), although when I arrived at my scan, I was told it was to look for ovarian cysts- would have been nice to have been kept a little bit more in the picture on several occasions during my stay. After said scan, I was left waiting for 5 hours, without any obs or word from anyone on the ward, until I was told I could eat and go home, felt like my discharge was rushed, still no real idea what is wrong.

Anything else?

SAU Ward fantastic, very clean! Extremely friendly nurses who were kind, attentive and quick to respond to any needs that I had. One nurse in particular was extremely friendly, and constantly went out of her way to help in my treatment, right up to the minute she finished her shift. Small amount of food I was allowed was lovely and I had a good choice.
