I tend to visit more frequently than most due to falling over a lot (results of a stroke 11 years ago.)
Always get the same quick response from receptionist to triage to GP or Nurse or whoever depending on what’s wrong. Length of visit is totally dependent on numbers waiting. I wish some of the moaners sat there waiting would realise that the staff don't want you hanging around any longer than the absolute minimum. The rate patients are seen depends on what is wrong with them and everyone is seen as soon as possible.
As an example; I attended just after 8am this morning. I was triaged almost as soon as I'd sat down. Followed by seeing a nurse within 5-minutes. I was in and out in about 15-minutes.
Compared to my previous visit when I arrived at 3.30pm. The waiting room was full, it took about 15-minutes to see a triage nurse followed by an hours wait to see a Doctor. But I wouldn't moan or groan, patients were being seen at a steady rate and eventually my turn arrived.
To sum up; the staff are first class, the service provided is second to none and I always leave feeling I'd had a worthwhile, professional service.
Now compare that to Skelmersdale Walk-in!! Both operated by Virgin but a million miles away from the level of care provided at Ormskirk.
"Yet another visit!"
