hairmyres has been under scrutiny and criticism over the past few months .. however I just wanted to say that over the past month I’ve dealt with paramedics, nurses, auxiliary staff, porters and consultants directly and indirectly and one thing that’s so clear is they all feel the pressure under the current situation ... I cannot fault any one of the individual persons I’ve dealt with especially today ..the situation at the orthopaedic clinic this morning was 49 patients to be seen between 9am and 12.30 only 20 of these patients had an appointment so there was a long wait ... the clinic was chaotic
Yet under this intense pressure the nurses greeted me with a smile, with genuine care and compassion and likewise the consultant I saw spent time with me discussing my care. The nurses in particular though where amazing and I feel that not enough credit is given to these nurses who go above and beyond everyday in their chosen profession .. I don’t think I could do it and I admire those who do .. people are very quick to post about their negative experiences I’d like to post about my positive experience 💗
"Exceptional care"
