My son Tom was recently discharged after 13 months in Eastbourne Hospital. He has a very complex condition, which unfortunately has very little understanding or research.
The two consultants were outstanding in their care & compassion towards Tom and did their utmost to help as much as they could. They listened to the patient, which many other medical staff need to learn.
I understand how much pressure all staff are under, but a few minutes to listen makes so much difference.
Not all staff were caring or kind, but they were in the minority.
All the housekeeping staff were lovely, kind & considerate.
Overall the DGH came up trumps!
"Patient with severe M.E."
