About two weeks ago my husband was experiencing difficulty breathing, as it was Saturday I called 111 for advice. They thought we needed an ambulance and sent one across to us. The paramedics were excellent, they assessed my husband and took him to the Bristol Royal Infirmary. Tests indicated pneumonia but they did not think he needed to be hospitalised and was returned home.
The following day his condition had deteriorated, he was delirious and very ill. I called 111 again and again they sent an ambulance. This time, when my husband was taken to the Infirmary he was admitted for almost a week.
The paramedics on both occasions were excellent. We were very impressed with the ambulance service.
"Impressive paramedics"
