"Value for money"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a service user),

When it comes to value for money- somewhere I have been short changed by this trust. SKY TV @ £28.50 a month. Service was down over Christmas. They took off catch up from our TV for well over 3 weeks now. I pay for SKY Movies over Christmas and I had channels not working for over 6 days. I have had no explanation, no apology and no refund. I feel like I have been robbed. yet if I complain the service turn around and say be grateful was fed and had a bed over Christmas. Many people are homeless and no money. Well you know what I couldn't care less. I haven't chosen to be here.

I am here on section 3 never committed a crime yet in a high secure hospital. I'm fed up with this service which if I am being honest has poor management. At the end of the day, in today's world, the NHS is a business. get rid of nurses and doctors trying to run this service get proper business men and women.

Hi There,

Thank you for raising this concern regarding your SKY subscription and challenges over the festive period. I have not been made aware that there were any issues with this.

I have forwarded this to IT to ask them to look into what channels were not available and then they can contact SKY for further information. This is usually the the process that occurs and on many occasions patients have revived a refund for channels that were not available.

If you experience this problem again please raise this with your ward manager and ask them to contact either your care Stream Matron or myself and we will take this forward

Thank you

Adele Fox

Hi

I have spoken with the IT department and they will be in touch shortly to ensure that you are receiving the service that you pay for, and arrange refunds for the times which you didn't receive services.

Apologies for this, I hope that moving forward we can resolve this to your satisfaction.

Regards

Helen Watkinson
