I have been receiving Enzyme Potentiated Desensitisation (EPD) anti-hay fever treatment from the RLHIM for over 10 years. Initially, the summertime symptoms were debilitating, even with prescription medicines. Now the EPD has reduced the severity of the symptoms to between a quarter and a tenth of those early symptoms and I only use “over the counter “ hay fever medicines for a short period each year. This is far beyond any improvement that could be attributed to the placebo effect. The RLHIM is to be congratulated for supporting EPD, a treatment that is not available elsewhere in London on the NHS.
