About: One Recovery Bucks

(as a service user),

I was admitted to our local hospitals ICU unit in Spetember with alcoholic pancreatitis, I was there for 3 days I do not remember being in Hospital. Whilst in Hospital my doctor was informed and she contacted One Recovery Bucks (SMART) as I had been under their care before. When I came out of Hospital two people from One recovery Bucks came to see me (I only have a vague recollection of this). After leaving the hospital I went to a rehab in Watford (where I had been before) for  4 weeks. After leaving rehab I was contacted by One Recovery Bucks about an 8 week Alcohol Course they ran I went to this course every week enjoyed it; it was informative and very helpful. This course and AA meetings has kept me clean and sober for what is now 4 months. I am grateful for being given the chance to do this course it has certainly helped my recovery.

Thanks for your really valuable feedback. It is fantastic to hear you are 4 months sober, wow what an achievement from where you were at only a few months ago, I hope that you are feeling proud of this you should be.

It's important for us to know that we in some part were beneficial in your recovery journey. Great to see the alcohol group helped, group work can be so powerful to aid recovery, that shared experience can offer so much hope and support.

It sounds from your feedback that you are doing well and accessing AA meetings which is great for long term support as you move forward in your recovery. You probably know that we have meetings running from our buildings.

Keep focused on your recovery day by day, week by week and I wish you all the very best.
