"Trauma and fracture clinic"

About: East Surrey Hospital / General surgery

After a fall from a horse I was taken to A &E via ambulance, was treated thoroughly and quickly listening to my husbands comments and noting his concerns.

After 2 weeks I returned to the fracture clinic. Again no waiting time to see the consultant, few minutes wait at X-ray and was told that I needed an operation, all paperwork was done there and then and I was admitted on Tuesday for my procedure. Very professional in admissions, even though the waiting area was busy, I was seen by an anaesthetist and was ready to be operated on in a couple of hours.

After my procedure I had to stay overnight as I had a reaction to the anaesthetic , I was transferred to surgery centre recovery. Very clean , nice and quiet , small with great staff. Good menu choices (if hungry) . Was offered help with a shower / wash and the nurse that did my cannula was very gentle.

All together a positive experience.

I’m so pleased to hear that you had a good experience in the Emergency Department. Our team will be delighted to hear it and I will let them know.

I’m sure that my Surgical colleagues will equally be grateful to hear such positive feedback.

I do hope that you have fully recovered.

Many thanks

Ben
