I recently had to take my son to the A&E department. He is only 15 and has mental health problems. He had taken an overdose but not told anyone for a good 12 hours.
The hospital A&E was so so busy when we arrived but on arrival the receptionist took our details and did so extremely professionally. We were seen straight away and even though there was so much going on. All the staff remained calm and professional. All staff took their time with patients and dealt with them with dignity and respect. At no point were we made to feel a nuisance and I cannot speak.highly enough of the amazing service that we received In A&E while my son was taken care of in such a difficult time for the NHS.
I cannot thank them enough.
"Amazing service at a horrendously busy time"
