About: Royal Brompton Hospital

I had the misfortune of having a split aorta in April 2016. After a lengthy operation & five weeks in the Alexandra ward,

twenty months on and I’m almost back to normal. The RBH is a wonderful hospital, with the most amazing staff at all levels. The NHS at its best, I still have to go for check ups as a outpatient. The appointment system has been excellent, so far I have always been to time. Long may this centre of excellence continue to go from strength to strength.
