I am saddened that two visits were necessary to get my cataract dealt with. My need was confirmed by my optician in Ludlow and I chose to go to Hereford. My first visit was in October 2017 and I saw a doctor, had my eyes tested and was given a booklet of information. My second visit was in January 2018 and I had my eyes tested, was given a booklet of information, slightly updated, and had my eyeballs measured.
I was told that I would get my cataract done in early summer.
I do not understand why these two appointments could not be merged into one. As I now have a hip problem travel to Hereford is both tedious and painful. Given that quite a number of the patients are like me are elderly, why not reduce the stress for them ?
The waiting time to get the procedure done is unacceptable as I am now typing this with my nose about 6inches from the screen.
"Saddened still to be waiting"
