I cannot praise the staff at this hospital enough. I thought they were marvellous - they were calm, reassuring and left my dignity perfectly intact when I was admiited to the High Dependency Unit.
All members of staff I encountered were extremely pleasant, and their attitude cheered me up immensely when I was feeling incredibly wobbly and anxious.
They also were friendly with each other, and worked really well together as a team whatever their role within the hospital hierarchy.
My daughter accompanied me until I was admitted to Cedar ward, and she was equally impressed. The hospital looks a bit scruffy in places, (and we all know that's because of government reluctance to invest in the NHS) but it's the people who dedicate their
time and effort working here, in extremely trying circumstances, and still remaining cheerful, that makes this hospital outstanding in my opinion.
"Battling on in a seriously underfunded NHS"
