Visited dermatology and the receptionist was very polite, friendly and helpful as it was my first time both going to a hospital for an appointment on my own, and my first time ever going to this hospital. The doctor I saw was very good and thorough in asking questions to get a better idea of my problem, and by recommending a blood test and imaging. They were again very polite and friendly. I didn’t even have to wait to have my blood taken! The nurse taking my blood was very nice and could see that I get nervous about blood tests so turned the fan on and made me feel as comfortable as possible. I have had two blood tests before at a local doctors practice which have both been unpleasant experiences but this was over much more quickly and did not hurt one bit. Again, the person in the imaging department who took photographs was very nice and in total, I only visited the hospital for around 45 minutes but at no point did I feel like I was being rushed out. All the staff I spoke to were very good, polite and friendly. I can’t comment on the same-sex accommodation as I did not stay in hospital but my overall experience was really positive!
