"Walnut Ward"

About: Hinchingbrooke Hospital

Just wanted to publically thank the staff on Walnut Ward.

Despite being obviously undersraffed and very busy everyone treating my mum was just lovely.

The nursing staff were kind and efficient and did their best in difficult circumstances.

When the news had to be broken that my mum wouldnt be coming home they were caring and compassionate.

At the end we were all impressed how they listened to our requests in order to ease her passing and we were given as much time as we needed to say goodbye.

If i have a critism its that the communication between department is slow and in our case this resulted in my mum still being given physio and blood taken etc after we had been told she wasnt going to make it.....unnessary treatments in the circumstances. This was at the weekend and come Monday things did move on more quickly.

Anyway Thankyou. Again
