I will start by saying sorry to all those who had to put up with my whining whilst they tended to my partial thickness burns. I tried my best not to be a wuss, but failed miserably.
I have had to attend A&E 3 times in quick successions in the past week, and could not fail the service I received. I was triaged quickly and effectively, with pain relief offered as soon as I stepped through the door on the 3 separate occasions. Special mention to the member of staff and the other lovely nurse practitioner who saw me on Saturday afternoon, re-bandaged my leg after the previous bandage from my surgery "failed' and noticed an infection taking hold. I am really hoping that the antibiotics start working soon and that I won't need to return any time in the near future, but know that if I have to, I will be in very good hands. A huge thank you to everyone who keep the ship afloat at A&E, in what we all know can be very challenging circumstances. Let's all fight to preserve our NHS.
"Fantastic care from a dedicated team"
